Welcome to the 2nd Annual Kansas Winter Q.

We are excited to have State Championship status and hope that you will enjoy the time that you spend with us. The Barton County Fair is dedicated to offering family fun and entertainment to all who attend which is why our slogan

                                 “COUNTRY NIGHTS – CITY LIGHTS” 

Is important to the fair and its participants. We hope that by providing this BBQ event we will truly provide Something for every one and provide you, the participants, a memory that will last forever.

The contest will start on Friday, February 13th and Saturday, February 14th, 2009 at the Expo Complex West of Great Bend, Ks.  This is a KCBS sanctioned event.
Entry Fee is $125.00 for the 4 categories (chicken, ribs, pork butt, and brisket) and includes water, electric, and ice.
The Appetizer contest is free Friday night but we will pay prize money and ribbons for the top five finishers. Also, you can enter as many times as you like. Please bring 6 appetizers to be judged and an additional 40 for the cooks social and fellowship event Friday evening. There will be adult beverages (Beer) along with Soda pop free to all contestants and their entourage during the social event.

Please send NO MONEY with entry form. We will collect upon your arrival. Please send back entry form to hold your spot in this year’s contest.
We are located 2.5 miles west of Great Bend, Kansas at the airport expo location.
