Rules and Regulations

  1. All KCBS Rules & Regulations will be followed.  Once we have received your entry form you will receive a conformation Phone Call or E-mail from Kent. A list of KCBS Rules and Regulations will be provided at the cooks meeting.
  2. The Central Kansas BBQ Cook-off will be located at the Expo complex, 2.5 miles west of Great Bend, Ks. Please check in at the white building, located on the main entrant of the expo complex.
  3. Set-up for the Central Kansas BBQ Cook-off Part 1 will begin on Friday, September 2, 2011.  If you would like to come earlier, please contact Kent Romine at Cell # 620-793-2985, or by E-mail at  “centralkansasbbq@gmail.com”.
  4. Judging of the CENTRAL KANSAS BBQ COOK-OFF PART 1 begins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday September 3, 2011 with last turn in at 2:00 p.m.  The awards show will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Expo 3 building on the west side of the complex.
  5. Judging of the CENTRAL KANSAS BBQ COOK-OFF PART 2 begins at 12:00 noon on Sunday September 4, 2011 with last turn in at 1:30 p.m.  The awards show will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Expo 3 building on the west side of the complex.
  6. The Booth space is 25 foot by 40 foot on concrete with buffalo grass behind the concrete area. We have 3 shower facilities on site, the Armory building, the Raceway bathroom, and the Expo 3 building.   

Waiver of Liability:

In consideration of your acceptance of the application, I (we) the undersigned on the application, intending to be legally bound hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators waive and release any and all rights and claims for damage, I (we) may have against the Barton County Fair, it’s officers, board members, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, the City of Great Bend, the KCBS organization or any sponsors of this event. The Barton County Fair reserves the right to use any photographs, Videotapes, recordings deemed necessary for the promotion of this event in the future.
